We are looking for a Satellite Operator to be integrated in Portugal, reporting to the Products and Services Department.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Regime: Hybrid

Main Accountabilities:

  • Monitoring the status of all Ground Segment systems and processes to ensure the smooth operation of the satellites.
  • Plan and execute satellite tasking and maintenance, executing and implementing procedures to monitor and control satellites and ground station.
  • Review and analyze real-time satellites telemetry data, following the Operational Procedures (OPRs) and executing the contingency actions as necessary.
  • Perform the maintenance activities scheduled as planned.
  • Provide timely response and direction to protect the systems during an anomaly and alert the appropriate responsible.
  • Record, report, and analyze mission data, health data, and logs, observing data for anomalies, preparing summaries of data via written tabulations, charts, graphs, and reports as requested by Engineering Team or the responsible.
  • Support future satellite mission development and operational concept development.
  • Review and update satellite system operations procedures and documentation.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and IT professionals. Seek guidance and mentorship from senior team members to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school degree in IT or Electronics, or a closely related field.
  • The position is staffed 24/7 and the ability to work in shift schedule is required.

Languages:

  • English (mandatory).
  • Spanish.

Desired:

  • Java, C, C++, Python.
