We are looking for a Junior Flight Engineer to be integrated in Portugal, reporting to the Products and Services Department.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid)
Main Accountabilities:
– Acquire full knowledge of the complete mission, Ground and Flight Segments.
– Perform trend analysis (short and long term) to identify risks or any possible malfunction of the Flight Segment.
– Manage satellite/ground operations incidences/unavailabilities and upscale it to superiors.
– Perform and register the scheduled satellite maintenance activities.
– Perform orbit assessment and maneuver campaign if applicable.
– Collision avoidance analysis and perform the required maneuver if necessary.
– Support future satellite mission development and operational concept development.
– Communicate the creation or update of satellite system operations procedures and documentation to the Senior Operator.
Requirements & Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering;
– Ability to work on-call.
– Sense of responsibility (includes focus on delivery, quality and reliability of work).
– Planning and organization skills.
– Ability to adapt to dynamic contexts.
– Excellent communication skills.
– English proficiency (spoken and written). Desired:
– Good working knowledge of orbit analysis, constellation configurations, RF link analysis, system budgets, operations, ground segment, space environment and satellite mechanical and electrical architectures.
– Experience with satellite communications standards will be appreciated.
– Familiarity with Pyhton, Java, C, C++ or comparable scripting language.
– ISO 9001 training.
