Liabilities:
- Analyze flight test data to generate/validate/document aircraft performance models to generate certified and operational performance data;
- Collaborate within a team to improve tools and processes and share knowledge/information;
- Contribute to trade-off studies between the different sub-systems, especially those related to performance of electrical machines and power electronics;
- Development, delivery and support of tools used by flight crew to perform take-off and landing performance assessments;
- Generate, validate, document aircraft performance data for inclusion in airplane flight manuals and onboard systems such- as the flight management system;
- Provide support to aircraft development phase and/or the aircraft certification phase and/or the aircraft in-service phase and optimization of aircraft performance;
- Provide support to operational efficiency initiatives;
- Support aircraft performance data requests from marketing, advanced design, acoustics, systems engineering.
Profile:
- M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanics or equivalent;
- Good programming skills in C#, C++, VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN and experience with using Matlab/Simulink for modeling purposes in a professional work environment;
- Hands-on experience with Requirements Management tools (IBM Doors or similar);
- Background in performance analysis and modelling of aircraft propulsion systems;
- Familiarization of concepts in aircraft performance, fluid dynamics, basic knowledge of aircraft take-off, landing, and mission performance;
- Good interpersonal skills, can work independently and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals established;
- Fluent in English.
