Efacec is a Portuguese company that has been anticipating the future for over 70 years. What are we looking for?
To join our Space Department, we are looking for an electronic engineer able to technically develop, analyse and test electronic systems to be integrated in the most challenging environment, space missions.
Efacec’s Space Department, started in 2002, and has been one of the most successful Portuguese company in the space business. Four units, fully developed by Efacec, already flew in space and more to come in this year and next years!
Mission:
- Developing electronic hardware, both analogue and digital (including design, analysis and testing), of systems for use in the equipment we develop for space missions;
- In this context, the candidate must be capable of developing, autonomously and/or in groups, analogue and/or digital electronic circuits, analysing their performance and quality, implementing them in CAD for production and finally testing them;
- All work is performed closely to the prime contractor and project partners, to better understand, clarify and tailor, if needed, the requirements;
- Identify technology trends and best practices that can be adopted to enhance our competitiveness.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in electronics Engineering (or equivalent);
- Innovative spirit and ability to create “out of the box” solutions and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to design analogue and digital electronic systems and analyse them;
- Knowledge in electronic analysis methodologies, FMECA (failure propagation), parts derating, parts stress and worst-case analysis;
- Knowledge in software tools of electronics CAD (schematics and PCB design) and electronics analogue simulation (Spice);
- Capability to develop small software applications for COTS systems and/or test measurements support tools;
- Capability to develop methodical procedures for the integration and assembling of the systems, in all their scopes and implement them;
- Project oriented and requirements focused;
- Good knowledge in English, written and spoken;
- Skills in teamwork, communication, proactivity, critical thinking, and curiosity;
- Interpersonal relationship skills;
- Motivation and willingness to learn;
- Knowledge in development, verification and validation of software / firmware embedded systems are valued.
